West Coast defender Charlotte Riggs has been rewarded for her outstanding aerial effort against Gold Coast on Saturday, earning a Mark of the Year nomination from round two of the AFLW season.
The highlight came late in the second quarter with the Suns pressing inside forward 50.
A long Gold Coast kick sailed towards the top of the goal square, appearing destined for a Suns forward, before Riggs launched courageously into the pack and rose above the contest to take a brilliant defensive mark.
Timing her leap to perfection, Riggs completed the intercept grab in a crucial moment for the Eagles before quickly helping turn defence into attack.
Fans can support Riggs and go into the draw to win the major prize of $5,000 thanks to Virgin Australia.
Round 2 voting closes 8am Thursday (WST).
The major prize winner will be announced at the end of the 2026 NAB AFLW home and away season.
