The West Coast Eagles will challenge midfielder Harley Reid's two-match sanction for Rough Conduct by the Match Review Officer following Sunday night’s loss to Hawthorn.

Reid was cited for an incident involving Hawthorn’s Jai Newcombe which was deemed Careless Conduct, High Impact and High Contact.

The Eagles have decided to challenge the sanction at the AFL Tribunal.

If the challenge is unsuccessful, Reid will miss the opening two rounds of the 2027 season.

The club will also challenge Brandon Starcevich’s $1500 fine for Careless Contact with an Umpire in the second quarter via written submission.

Bo Allan has accepted a $1000 fine for Other Misconduct from the Hawks clash.
