Two years after he was selected at pick 31 in the 2018 draft, Foley broke through for his debut in the final home and away game of the season against North Melbourne at Metricon Stadium. It was an encouraging step for the Subiaco product, who developed as a tidy half-back flanker with a big engine during difficult circumstances without the opportunity to hone his craft playing WAFL football in 2020. The experience of tasting AFL football should hold Foley in good stead and provide a guide of what is required to make it in the elite level as he prepares for his third pre-season with the club. The emerging 21-year-old is locked in for the 2021 campaign after inking a one-year contract extension at season’s end.
