The West Cost Eagles present an upper primary school program aimed to increase educational outcomes of students.

The program is designed to educate and foster the development of skills, knowledge, and strategies for upper primary aged students.

Junior Insight will focus on the development of young males while Junior SOAR aims to engage female youth with the aim of educating around various football topics, on and off the field.

Presentations are delivered by our West Coast Eagles staff and last from 45 minutes to 1 hour. The program is free of charge.

SOAR Regional: The SOAR program is delivered into regional Western Australia thanks to the support of BHP, including through both the Pilbara and Goldfields region.

The program comprises of 3 interactive modules:

Module 1 - Elite Performance

  • This module educates on developing a positive relationship with food and eating for improved healthy lifestyle and athletic performance.
  • A focus on the correct warm up prior to training and specific protocols to reduce injury.
  • This module educates on developing a positive relationship with food and eating for improved healthy lifestyle and athletic performance.

Module 2 - Leadership and Resilience

  • Explores leadership development at the West Coast Eagles and provides examples of how students can apply these concepts to be leaders in their own life.
  • Identifies the importance of resilience and exploring ways to overcome adversity.
  • Outlines the benefits and strategies of setting SMARTER goals and striving to be the best you can be.

Module 3 - Practical Football Session

  • A one-hour football clinic focusing on skill development and fun game play.

Aimed at Year 5 and 6 students and clubs but can cater for specific needs.
