An extra round has been introduced for the 2022 AFLW competition, and West Coast is set to finish the home and away campaign by taking on North Melbourne at Arden Street.

It will be the first time West Coast has faced the Roos - who played finals last season - in the AFLW competition.

The clash comes after three games in Perth for West Coast - including an away Derby at Optus Stadium - and is one of four away matches for the year.

It will be based on a floating fixture, and played in between March 11-13.

“It will be a great challenge for our girls to take on 2021 finalists North Melbourne on their home turf,” senior coach Michael Prior said.

“They’re a successful team and it will be a great opportunity for our girls to put into practice what they’ve learnt on and off-field during the season.

“It will also be fantastic to watch the girls in their final match of the year after a season of development and growth.”
