West Coast has regained important defender-turned-midfielder Brady Hough for Saturday night’s tough clash against ladder leaders Collingwood.

Hough has recovered from the illness which kept him out of the Carlton loss before the bye and takes his place alongside incoming debutant Jobe Shanahan.

A potential tagging job on Magpies star Nick Daicos looms for Hough, while versatile tall Shanahan has been named at centre half-forward in co-captain Oscar Allen’s absence.

Allen’s season is over due to knee surgery while Rising Star nominee Tyrell Dewar has failed in his bid to play after picking up a hamstring complaint.

The Eagles have settled on those two changes, with Jack Petruccelle, Archer Reid and Rhett Bazzo named as emergencies.

Mid-season rookie recruit Tom McCarthy is set for his second match following a record-breaking debut when he collected 31 disposals against the Blues.

Meanwhile, key backman Harry Edwards has proven his fitness for the Collingwood clash after sustaining hamstring tightness late last outing before the bye.

Tom Cole hasn’t been named in the 26-man squad after attempting to return from his own hamstring complaint.

Shanahan becomes the Eagles’ seventh debutant this season – and fourth player from last year’s national draft crop to play their first game in 2025.

Bouncedown for Saturday night’s clash will be at 7.35pm local (5.35pm AWST).

The match will be broadcast live nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo, and televised live in WA on 7mate and 7-plus.
