West Coast has added experience for Saturday’s clash against Richmond at Optus Stadium, recalling Tom Cole, Matt Owies and Harry Schoenberg.
The trio bring combined experience of 288 games to the line-up and replace omitted trio Bo Allan, Jack Williams and Sandy Brock from the youthful team that suffered a triple-figure defeat to St Kilda.
Premiership defender Cole has been in excellent WAFL form and has led strongly in three-straight victories, earning an AFL call up for the first time since round one.
Owies kicked five goals in the victory over Swan Districts last round while Schoenberg was the travelling emergency for the Saints clash.
Second-year midfielder Tom Gross, key defender Rhett Bazzo and Williams are emergencies for the West Coast home game, when the Eagles will celebrate the 2006 premiership team at their 20-year reunion.
Saturday’s 2.15pm clash will be broadcast live nationally on Fox Footy and Kayo, while the match is delayed on 7 and 7-plus until 4pm in WA due to the AFL’s broadcast rights agreement.
