A dominant second-half surge propelled the WAFL Eagles to a commanding 18.11 (119) to 12.8 (80) win over East Fremantle on Friday night.
“We played East Fremantle on what was a cold but otherwise ideal Friday night for football. The game lived up to the conditions, developing into a fast-paced, high-scoring contest,” coach Kyal Horsley said.
“East Fremantle had the better of the early exchanges, applying strong pressure that we initially struggled to handle. Once we adapted to their intensity, the momentum swung firmly in our favour.
“From the midway point of the second quarter, we were able to produce our best brand of football for the season, outscoring East Fremantle by 74-points for the remainder of the match and walking away with a much needed 39-point victory.
