Senior Coach

Andrew McQualter became West Coast’s seventh AFL senior coach when he was appointed to lead a new era in the days after the 2024 Grand Final.

The former St Kilda and Gold Coast player brings comprehensive experience to the role and was a key part of Damien Hardwick’s coaching team during Richmond’s triple-premiership run.

McQualter also recorded a 7–6 win–loss record as interim coach in 2023 after Hardwick stepped down, before joining Melbourne as an assistant coach in 2024 and spending the 2025 season further strengthening his coaching credentials.

Known for his relationship-building, tactical acumen and strong development background, McQualter continues to guide the Eagles with an emphasis on growth, connection and a clear game-plan identity.
