Assistant Coach - Backline

Mitch Duncan joined the West Coast Eagles ahead of the 2026 season after a decorated 305-game career with Geelong, where he became a dual premiership player and one of the Cats’ most consistent performers.

Originally drafted from East Perth, Duncan brings outstanding experience, leadership and football IQ to the Eagles’ coaching group as he returns home to Western Australia. Known for his composure, professionalism and ability to guide younger teammates, he featured in finals across 12 of his 16 seasons and finished top-10 in Geelong’s best and fairest on seven occasions.

Stepping into the role of backline coach under senior coach Andrew McQualter, Duncan adds invaluable nous and mentorship to a developing Eagles squad as he brings his experience into the coaching space.
